12.0pt'>Tom Stanley introduced our speaker, Richard Hasko, from Environmental
Services for the City of <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Delray</st1:place></st1:City>.
He discussed the reclaimed water project. Even though we are coming out of the
drought period, water restrictions are going to continue. Conservation of
water is the key.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

12.0pt'>In 1989 a feasibility study was done about reclaiming water for
irrigation purposes<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'>By 1993, the study had confirmed that it would be very beneficial to
build a reclaimed water system. From 1994-1997 contracts were negotiated for <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Boynton Beach</st1:place></st1:City> golf
communities under a 20 year contract. For communities using reclaimed water,
the restrictions on watering do not apply. In 2003 and 2004 water tanks were
built to hold reclaimed water. In 2009, the average daily flow is 2.9 million
gallons per day.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'>Communities who use the reclaimed water pay nothing to hook onto the
system. They do pay for the water they use. Presently, the system is not
available to all but they continue to expand it.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
